Brothers Don and Lee Marklein began building homes in 1959 in the evenings while working at the General Motors plant in Janesville during the day. As word of their quality work spread, they quickly left GM to build homes full time and form Marklein Builders.

For 65 years Marklein Builders has built homes in many of Rock County’s premier neighborhoods throughout Janesville, Edgerton, Evansville and Beloit. Throughout each community, Marklein Builders is known as a superior home builder with a reputation of quality and integrity.

Today the company rests in the hands of Don and Lee’s children and grandchildren, who continue their legacy of craftsmanship and trust. From modest to grand or anything in between, you can count on Marklein Builders to build your dream home.
